Play Poland Film Festival II arrives in Birmingham

From 28th September the 2nd edition of the biggest festival of contemporary Polish films starts in  Birmingham.

Play Poland 2012The Play Poland Film Festival is organised by Polish Art Europe as a touring UK wide film festival. It is presented in Birmingham by the Polish Expats Association.

The event’s aim is to promote contemporary Polish cinematography and to help to establish a strong position for contemporary Polish culture outside of Poland.

In the programme there will be feature films, animation, documentaries and experimental short films, The Festival audience will also have a unique opportunity to see the Oscar candidate ’80 millions’ The festival programme includes full length films shown during September and October at the MAC, a free weekend of short films at the Ikon Gallery in conjunction with the Yael Bartana exhibition.

In addition there will be short film nights and special events at the Edge and The Spotted Dog in Digbeth.
