Pupils from four Walsall schools joined forces to tackle on-line attacks as part of an Anti-Bullying Week.

Pupils from Leighswood Primary, Aldridge School, Cooper & Jordan School and Whetstone Primary School.

A group of students from borough primary schools spent the afternoon with pupils and staff at Aldridge School to learn about the dangers of cyber-bullying.

School ambassadors from Whetstone, Leighswood, Chuckery and Cooper & Jordan primary schools met up with the secondary school students to discuss the dangers of on-line attacks.

And they also learned about what to do and who to turn to in the event of being bullied.

David Mountney, headteacher, said: “More than ever young people need to be aware of the dangers not only of cyber-bullying but also of the kind of personal information they post on social media sites.

“We decided to link up with local primary schools help get the message across to about being safe on-line.

“We had some tremendous support from our own pupils who worked alongside ambassadors from the primary school children to look at ways of preventing cyber-bullying.”

The event was part of ongoing links between Aldridge School, in Tynnings Lane, and local feeder schools as part of the Aldridge Community Action Group.
