Last Fancies: Situation at Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton

Last Fancies - SituationWest Midlands based theatre company Last Fancies follow up the sell out success of 2011’s multi-venue opus The Death of Georgia B with a new, innovative theatrical experience staged throughout Wolverhampton’s Arena Theatre.

In a world where art is outlawed, the cinemas stand in ruins, galleries are ransacked and books are burnt. But deep in the heart of a derelict theatre, a resistance is under way.

Nowhere is out of bounds as you journey through the decaying corridors of this long abandoned and derelict labyrinth to uncover the desolate building’s last mystery….

A unique site-specific theatrical experience that plunges the audience into a fully interactive, immersive environment.

ABOUT LAST FANCIES
Last Fancies were formed by Wolverhampton-born director Joseph Hancock, a former member of Central Youth Theatre, along with co-writer and director Joe von Malachowski and designer Jess Banting. As well as The Death of Georgia B (‘Industrious and innovative’ – Birmingham Post), previous productions include, the National Student Drama Festival 2010 award-winning The Whitehouse Institute, a promenade performance set in the world of contemporary art and inspired by ill-informed protest.
