What’s On at the Robin

A couple of legendary names from very different fields amongst others.

Terry Reid

Terry Reid

Wednesday sees the return of one of the Robin’s favourite artists. Myths abound around Terry Reid – that he turned down the opportunity to sing for both Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple amongst them. What is beyond doubt is that he’s one of the country’s finest blues singers, with a career stretching back over forty years that has seen him tour with the Rolling Stones, play the original Isle of Wight festival and still be highly-regarded enough now to have recorded with the Alabama 3 and rapper De Mesa.  Tickets £15.

On Thursday there’s Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music tribute Roxy Magic. Tickets £10.

Moody Blues tribute Blue Onyx plays on Friday. Tickets £8.

There’s a first time at the Robin on Saturday for legendary anarcho-rockers New Model Army. After more than thirty years together their incendiary spark burns as bright as ever with the band’s music, which has also seen them recording a dozen studio albums and was inspired by punk and Northern Soul, making for a spectacular live show. Tickets £20.

On Sunday Are You Experienced, a Jimi Hendrix tribute, are performing. Tickets £9.
