On Friday 3 June, international award winning comedian Patrick Monahan will be bringing his brand new stand up show to The Public – with a new game show twist and chance to win a date!

Listed as one of The Sun’s top 10 comedians of 2010, the winner of the first series of ITV’s ‘Take the Mike’ and comedy festival regular, is set to leave the Black Country arts centre in stitches.

Having been brought up in Middlesbrough by his Iranian mother and Irish father, the talented anecdotal comic has many hilarious and engaging stories about his rich cultural heritage.  Relying heavily on audience interaction and animated story-telling, Monahan’s humour draws on his own experiences and multi cultural upbringing in a warming and intimate manner.

Described as ‘quick witted stand up’ by The Guardian and ‘Omid Djalli meets Dave Allen’ by The Daily Mail, Patrick is a respected comic with charismatic charm.

Having appeared on numerous well known television programmes including, ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’ (C4), ‘Armstrong & Miller Show’ (BBC) and ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ (CBBC), and a long-time warm up act on the BBC’s ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Patrick is no stranger to the big time.

Support comes from comedian Alan Seaman.

Suitable for over 18s.

Patrick Monahan will be performing at The Public on Friday 3 June at 8pm.  Tickets are £10 and are available online from www.thepublic.com or by calling The Public Box Office on 0121 533 7161.
